As part of its long-term human resource planning, Nautilus Training is interested in developing relationships with suitably qualified and experienced childcare professionals, who may be considering entering the training sector of the childcare industry or may already be working as fully qualified childcare industry trainers.

In order to deliver training and assessment services in relation to a qualification such as the Diploma of Children’s Services, as well as the required industry experience, the trainer must possess the qualification being delivered (or at least its equivalent) and a prescribed qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment.

A not-yet-fully-trained trainer, who is on the way to completing the prescribed qualification in Workplace Training & Assessment, may deliver training and assessment services, under the supervision of a fully qualified trainer/assessor.

Becoming a childcare industry trainer, after gaining the necessary experience in a childcare service, is a significant career move, which takes time, energy and payment of training costs. However, not withstanding the challenges, being a childcare trainer is a highly fulfilling and rewarding vocation, for the right person, someone with the capacity to go the extra mile in supporting and encouraging our students.
